My Travels

There are many fantastic places in the world and I’m yet to see them all, but I plan to!

Places I’ve explored:
Mauritius: This is a beautiful island in the Indian ocean, where the the white coral beeches go right to your door, you can relax with a local rum and watch dolphins swim past . . . . . . Breathtaking! Visit Mauritius on the Oceania Nautica.
Sri Lanka: A little different to Mauritius, more greenery and stunning beeches and very different culture.
Dubai: I was overwhelmed with Dubai, its stunning architecture and wealth makes you feel like you’re living the dream. My advice is to visit as many hotels as you can, as that’s where you find the best restaurants and bars but be aware, its pricey! You can cruise from Dubai on the Royal Caribbean Ship, Brilliance of the Seas.
Abu Dhabi: I went to Abu Dhabi to see the Grand Prix, it really is up and coming fast. The buildings are new and spectacular situated in the middle of the desert its one to watch! You can also visit Abu Dhabi on the Brilliance of the Seas.
Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh & Cairo, Egypt: Egypt is a very large country and is very different all over. It surrounds the Red Sea which is the base for the tourist hotels and beaches. The most popular destinations are Sharm el-Sheikh, Hugarda and Cairo.Cairo is full of character and history with the ancient pyramids and markets. Hugarda and Sharm make the most of the beaches along the Red Sea.
Venice, Italy: I was treated to this trip by my beautiful fiance Emma for my birthday, we stayed at a little hotel near to the outskirts of Venice which was ideal as we could walk along the rivers into the heart of the city. It really was romantic sipping wine and eating fantastic food whilst a gondola travels by. We also took a trip to Lido which is the beach resort across the water. Magnificent is all I can say definitely worth a visit. If you want to cruise from Venice I advise you to go a couple of days before you’rr cruise and have a good look round! Cruise from Venice on a Princess Cruise.

Quebec, Canada:I use quebec as a base for skiing, I stay in the chateau frontenac. This hotel cant be beaten for service and quality it over looks the historic romantic part of town, its French speaking and full of character. Visit Quebec on a P&O cruise.

Miami, USA
Clear water, USA
Orlando, USA
Cancun, Riviera Maya, Mexico: I worked in Mexico for a season in a variety of hotels, its a very friendly place with some great beeches, there is also lots of history to take in which makes Mexico a destination that caters for all.
Jamaica: Well what can I say? JAMMIN! This is the place I return to every year, stunning sunshine golden beaches and a mind blowing culture. Visit the Dunn’s River for a walk with a difference and visit the rum factory for a tipple or two! Jamaica is the home to the Legendary Bob Marley and a visit to his home is definatley a must! Have a look at my my sculpture the sand is perfect for it and by the end of a two week stay I can create a whole zoo!
Antigua: A quiet relaxed island with the busy Port of St Johns, this island has something for everyone and is a popular destination for cruise ships.
Barbuda: This tiny island is famous for its pink sand and wonderful warm waters, you can access Barbuda by boat or internal flight from Antigua. The service that connects the islands in the Caribbean is called LIAT (Late If At All)! A tiny plane with no door and if your lucky you may get one of the seats with a seat belt, I scream every time!!
the Twin Otter bound for Barbuda (Mark Williams)
Dominica:This island tends to get forgotten about, it’s still very unspoilt and the locals work around you, I have family that live in the mountains, they have no running water or electricity so we eat Mutton Curry by candle light, it’s fantastic.
Dominican Republic: A big beach resort destination very much influenced by the Spanish as that’s the local language. I have mixed feelings about the Dominican Republic but if your going to stay there go to the south side the beaches are better and the sea is calmer.
